Whereas \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eWild Animals\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e focused on the concept of painting animals in an uncontrolled manner, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eSome Logic\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e attempted to create a book that doesn’t really make sense rationally, yet somehow feels logical.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAn underlying story behind the creation of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eSome Logic\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is that the success of the first book placed a high pressure on the second. As a result, Rop van Mierlo kept on painting endlessly. Fifty attempts for a bumblebee, seventy attempts for a wolf, and so on. The thought of doing something with the sheer amount of material was an idea that lingered during the painting process and eventually fell logically into place for the second edition of the book. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eSome Logic 2\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e consists of the same line-up of animals, but with a different selection from the many painting attempts. It is therefore both a reprint and a new version of the book.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRop van Mierlo has collaborated on projects with Hermès, Marni, Head Porter and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
